Random Discovery

I rarely go to this site to see who links to my blog because, honestly, I do not think too many people that I do not know read it. But I had a few hits from people I have never heard about. One that particularly got my attention was this one. It surprised me to see that MKD was not linked on there but some other DC peeps we know are. After all, MKD likes to rub in the fact that she has “national” recognition with huge blogs like Wonkette…twice!

Furthermore, unbeknownst to me, I was in the running for a “Best of” in which a “Sandy Duncan” and her various eyes, nominated the hell out of me. I received 3.9% of the votes and did not come in last (surprisingly)! I guess Sandy voted for me a few times. Oh, and I did not realize that I had a “messy relationship” or even blogged about it significantly to be considered in this category. Maybe my writings have been misconstrued this whole time. Story of my life, really.

There were a few comments which I did not like concerning Sparkles and just want to put out there that I will put the smack down if I find out who you are because she is a very dear friend of mine. Then again, it might have been other friends of Sparkles with these comments and therefore more of a joking manner not to be taken seriously. But for now, you are guilty until proven innocent in my book.

Oh and another thing worth mentioning, I have surpassed 10,000 unique hits. So for 27 months of posts this leads to an average of about 370 unique hits per month. I guess more people are reading my dribble than I originally thought. Either that or my loyal readers are consistent in cleaning their cache and history daily like me.

Public Service Announcement

The Dalai Lama is pronounced “Da-lai (with “lai” sounding like “lie”) La-ma.” Not “Dali Lama” (as in Dali like the surrealist artist). Where the second “a” goes in the pronunciation is beyond me.

Americans, stop butchering this. I cringe every time I hear it. Especially news people. You suck.

Just like Genghis Khan. It is more like “Jen-ghis” rather than “Gang-ghis.”

Hear it, learn it, do it:
Dalai Lama
Genghis Khan

This has been a public service announcement. Have a nice day.
